2007 Surgeries

Of the 81 provinces and 17 regions in the Philippines, only Batanes and Marinduque were not covered. A total of:

• 38,690 sight saving surgeries were done
• 33,913 were cataract surgeries
• 15,668 were bilateral and
• 33,236 were with IOLs

Surgeries were done in 405 hospitals.

CBM partners did a total of:

• 19,049 surgeries and mobilized
• 375 residents/ophthalmologists

Cataract Foundation and its partners did a total of:

• 19,641 surgeries and mobilized
• 190 ophthalmologists
